Work Distribution in ADB Wing (Wing-5)

Wing Chief (ADB) is the supervising officer of the following Branches:
1.    ADB -1 Branch (Which has one Section named ADB-3;
2.    ADB -2 Branch (Which has one Section named ADB-5;
3.    ADB-3 Branch (Supernumerary Branch which was originally ADB-1 Section);
4.    ADB -4 Branch (Supernumerary Branch which was originally ADB-2 Section) and
5.    ADB-5 Branch (Supernumerary Branch which was originally ADB-4 Section);

Branch: ADB-1

1.    Supervision of the activities of Section ADB-3;
2.    Representing ERD in the PEC/SPEC/DPEC/SC meeting regarding ADB     financed projects/Programs under the Ministries/Divisions mentioned in the charter of duties of Section ADB-3;
3.    Representing ERD in the monthly ADP review meeting held at the Ministry/Division earmarked in the office-order issued; and
4.    Other activities as assigned by the higher authority.      

Section-ADB-3
1.    Activities related to the processing and mobilization of Asian Development    Bank (ADB)'s financing (Loan/TA) for the projects under-

i)    Ministry of LG, RD and Co-operatives;
ii)    Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs;
iii)    Ministry of Women and Children Affairs;
iv)    Ministry of Youth & Sports;
v)    Ministry of Cultural Affairs;
vi)    Ministry of Social Welfare; and
vii)    Ministry of Religious Affairs.

2.    Activities related to project implementation review and various Missions clearance for ADB financed projects/programs under the Ministries mentioned above;
3.    Activities  related to the fund searching with regard to the ADB assistance;
4.    Coordination and  preparation of various report related to ADB Wing ;  and
5.    Other activities as assigned by the higher authority.

Branch: ADB-2
1.    Supervision of the activities of Section ADB-5.
2.    Representing ERD in the PEC/SPEC/DPEC/SC meeting regarding ADB     financed projects/Programs under the Ministries/Divisions mentioned in the charter of duties of Sec. ADB-5;
3.    Representing ERD in the monthly ADP review meeting held at the    Ministry/Division earmarked in the office-order issued; and
4.    Other activities as assigned by the higher authority.

 
Section ADB-5
1.    Activities related to the processing and mobilization of Asian Development   Bank  (ADB)'s financing (Loan/TA) for the projects under-

i)    Ministry of Finance;
ii)    Ministry of Labour and Employment;
iii)    Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment;
iv)    Ministry of Housing and Public Works;
v)    Ministry of Commerce;
vi)    Ministry of Planning;
vii)    Ministry of Land; and
viii)    Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

2.    Activities related to project implementation review and various Missions clearance for ADB financed projects/programs under the Ministries mentioned above;
3.    Activities related to ADB’s involvement in Private Sector, SMEs, NGOs and Community Organization (COs);
4.    Processing nomination of officials for attending training, seminar, workshop   etc sponsored by ADB and ADBI; and
5.    Other activities as assigned by the higher authority.

Branch: ADB-3

1.    Activities related to the processing and mobilization of Asian Development Bank (ADB)'s financing (Loan/TA) for the projects under-

i)    Ministry of Communications;
ii)    Ministry of Railways;
iii)    Ministry of Food;
iv)    Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management;
v)    Ministry of Posts and Tele-Communications;
vi)    Ministry of Industries;  and
vii)    Ministry of Shipping.

2.    Activities related to project implementation review and various Missions clearance for ADB financed projects/programs under the Ministries mentioned above;
3.    Representing ERD in the PEC/SPEC/DPEC/SC meeting regarding ADB financed projects under the Ministries mentioned above;
4.    Representing ERD in the monthly ADP review meeting held at the Ministry/Division earmarked in the office-order issued;
5.    Activities related to ADB membership and nomination of Governor and Alternate-governor in ADB ;
6.    Activities related to Administrative affairs of ADB (including ADB, BRM);
7.    Activities related to GCI of ADB, Replenishment of ADF, and TASF and Policy matter of ADB financing;
8.    Activities related to visit/tour of Bangladeshi Government officials to ADB and President/Vice-president and other high officials of ADB to Bangladesh;
9.    Activities related to Country Programming Mission (CPM)/Country Partnership Strategy (CPS), Country Portfolio Review Mission (CPRM), Tripartite Project Review Mission (TPRM) and other Missions related to Policy matters;
10.    Activities related to ADB’s Annual meeting of Board of Governors; and
11.    Other activities as assigned by the higher authority.

Branch: ADB-4
1.    Activities related to the processing and mobilization of Asian Development Bank (ADB)'s financing (Loan/TA) for the projects under-

i)    Ministry of Environment and Forest;
ii)    Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock;
iii)    Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources;
iv)    Ministry of Agriculture;
v)    Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; and
vi)    Ministry of Water Resources.

2.     Activities related to project implementation review and various Missions clearance for ADB financed projects/programs under the Ministries mentioned above;
3.     Representing ERD in the PEC/SPEC/DPEC/SC meeting regarding ADB financed projects under the Ministries mentioned above;
4.    Representing ERD in the monthly ADP review meeting held at the Ministry/Division earmarked in the office-order issued; and
5.    Other activities as assigned by the higher authority.

Branch: ADB-5
1.    Activities  related to the processing and mobilization of Asian Development    Bank (ADB)'s financing (Loan/TA) for the projects under-

i)    Prime Minister’s Office;
ii)    Cabinet Division;
iii)    Election Commission Secretariat;
iv)    Ministry of Education;
v)    Ministry of Primary and Mass Education;
vi)    Ministry of Public Administration;
vii)    Ministry of Home Affairs;
viii)    Ministry of Science and Technology;
ix)    Ministry of Information & Communication Technology;
x)    Ministry of Information;
xi)    Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; and
xii)    Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2.    Activities related to project implementation review and various Missions clearance for ADB financed projects/programs under the Ministries mentioned above;
3.     Representing ERD in the PEC/SPEC/DPEC/SC meeting regarding ADB financed projects/programs under the Ministries/Divisions mentioned above;
4.    Activities related to ADB assisted Regional Technical Assistance (RETA), and issues related to South Asia Sub-regional Economic Cooperation (SASEC);
5.    Representing ERD in the monthly ADP review meeting held at the Ministry/Division earmarked in the office-order issued; and
